Day 1: We reached around 11 am and welcomed with traditional Indian style Teeka and fresh drinks at the reception. The staff took us to our villa and the journey from the reception to villa was breathtaking. The property has well maintained flora and we got to see many chirping birds, singing bees and butterflies.
Our private villa had two rooms, one kitchen, a living area with dining table and sofas, LCD, and spacious balcony having two chairs and one table. As stated above, rooms were very spacious, neat and clean, and well equipped with everything one needs for a luxury stay. We rested for few hours, got fresh and headed to Gurney house for a lavish buffet lunch.
After having sumptuous lunch, we strolled around the property and were amazed by the beauty of the property. It was his birthday that day, the courteous staffs baked fresh cake for him and surprised us with pool side white themed candle light dinner and birthday celebration. We cut the cake, had delicious dinner in such romantic ambiance and came back to our villa, sat in the balcony enjoyed sheesha and cold soothing breeze.
Day 2: We woke up little late as we were in no hurry and had the morning coffee watching some comedy show and overlooking the greenery outside from our window.
Received a call for the breakfast while we were getting ready. We went for to have food and literally got overwhelmed by the breakfast arrangement. It was arranged by the river side, we had breakfast with the soothing melody of river water, chirping of birds, mountains and forest view. The scenic and romantic breakfast took our heart away and it felt as if we were in some wonderland.
We shot some stunning photos as the place was so beautiful, we couldn’t resist ourselves and got little tired after the whimsical photo shoot, we literally craved for luscious meal, and palatial lunch was served by them in the villa only.
In the evening, we went for a walk, visited Jhula Pul. After coming back to the resort, we had bath in the pool, enjoyed some grilled food at Grill house. The food was definitely the highlight of this place.
Day 3: We had to catch the train on this day and we ordered our breakfast in the room only, the team made sure the breakfast was as grand as possible. We had yummy breads, shakes, fresh fruits and what not. We packed our bag after having breakfast and headed to Delhi. It was really hard to say good bye to this beautiful place and humble humans.
The moments we spent at this place, we will cherish forever. All those dinner surprises and special breakfast arrangements still seem like a dream to us. Thanks a lot The Riverview Retreat team for making our stay so special and unforgettable. Thank you for such warm hospitality and can’t thank enough to all courteous staffs for being so cooperative.
